B.Tech (Marine Engineering)
The four year B.Tech (Marine Engineering) course , is a course leading to Class IV Marine Engineer Officer Certificate of competency, awarded by the ministry of shipping Government of India, after six months of sea service, enabling the cadets to become Marine Engineers on board Merchant Naval ships anywhere in the world. This course is strictly residential.
Minimum Qualification
- Candidate can join 2nd year of 4-year Marine Engineering Degree Course who have passed Diploma Course in Mechanical Engineering 9or0 Marine Engineering from any institute approved by AICTE with at least 60% marks overall and should have completed the Diploma within the stipulated period of 3 years.
- Candidate should obtained a minimum of 50% marks in English language at 10th or 12th standard/Diploma.
- College must have AICTE or UGC approval.
- Maximum 25 years of age at the time of commencement of the course.
- Course Date: August Month of every year.

Minimum Qualification
- Candidates can join 2nd year of 4-Year Marine Engineering Degree Course who have passed 3 years Diploma Course, in addition to the three years regular Diploma Course in Mechanical/ Electrical /Electrical & Electronics Engineering, in following categories, from the colleges approved by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education with minimum 55% of aggregate marks in the last year of Diploma Course.

3 years DG approved B.sc Nautical Science course
Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS) leading to B.Sc. Nautical Science
The one Year DNS Course is a course leading to B.Sc., Nautical Science after 18
months of sea service and also leading to 2nd Mate Foreign going Certificate of competency
awarded by the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India, enabling the cadets to become
Navigating officers on board Merchant Naval Ships anywhere in the world. The one year
Diploma in Nautical Science Course is strictly residential.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate should have passed in HSC (10+2) or equivalent examination with Physics,
Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with a PCM average of not less
then 60%
- Candidate possessing B.Sc. Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry or Electronics
with Physics as individual subject in one of the year, with an average of not less than
60% of marks in the final year
- Candidate possessing B.E./B. Tech. Degree from I.I.T or from a college recognized by
AICTE
- The candidate has to appear and qualify in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted
by University. Age Limit - Maximum 25 years of age as on 1st of January or 1st of
August.
- Physical Standards - Medically fit as per the standards set by M. S. Medical
Rules, 2000.
- Eyesight - Candidates have to Qualify a full eyesight test conducted by the
Marine Department before being finally selected for the course. They should have 6/6 in
each eye without visual aids and should be free from colour blindness.

6 months DG approved General Purpose Rating (GP Rating) Course.
Electro Technical Officers (ETO) - 4 Months
Minimum Qualification
- Passed in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as a separate subject with minimum 50% marks in English at 10th or 12th standard, AND passed three year's Diploma with 60 marks OR passed Four years Degree including Lateral Entry, with 50% marks, in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication / Communication Engineering, or Electronics and Instrumentation, or equivalent. OR Passed in 10th standard, with English as a separate subject with minimum 50% marks in English, AND passed in Diploma with 60%, AND passed Three years Degree through Lateral Entry with 50% marks in the streams mentioned above.
- The diploma/degree Courses must be recognized by any State or Central Government or AICTE.
- Maximum 35 years of age as on March, July& November.

Orientation Courses For Catering Personnel (OCCP)
Minimum Qualification
- The candidate should have passed 10th or 12th Standard Exam from a recognized board with minimum of 40% ,arks in aggregate and 40% marks in English language at 10th or 12th standard.
- A Degree or Diploma Certificate in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, or Hotel Management and Catering Technology, or Catering, Culinary Arts, or Hospitality and Tourism, of minimum six moths duration from an institution duly recognized by State Boards/UGC approved University, or approved by the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMC) of AICTE.
- 18 to 28 years age at the time of course commencement.
- Course Date; 1st of Every month of the year.
